Each of the 4 DVDs in the Building Better Balance series of video classes contains an hour long class plus a special feature. The special features are about 10 minutes long and were designed to enhance the subject of the DVD class itself. Here are the features included per DVD:
- Balance Basics: Using the eyes to overcome dizziness & disorientation. Eye focus exercises are included in a routine that helps you to steady yourself easily whenever you are in challenging situations. I highly recommend this feature. These concepts are emphasized throughout the entire series. You learn how to use them in this special feature. It is especially important information for anyone suffering from tremors or anyone who simply feels unstable and fearful of falling.
- Legs & Feet: Peripheral neuropathy of the feet. A simple set of exercises are included that increase foot joint mobility and improve peripheral nervous system health, a perfect combination for those with neuropathy. The exercises can be easily adapted for the hands. This would be an ideal daily exercise routine for someone with foot (or hand) problems. The nervous system exercises are great to do each morning to get things going well.
- Developing Spine Health: Spinal nerve impingement. Many of us encounter back pain as the effects of compression and less activity combine to increase spinal nerve inflammation. This feature is an explanation of tool that can greatly assist us: Dermatomes. These are nerve root maps that show the pathway of every major nerve. Through use of this tool we can understand the part of the spine involved in any pain you may suffer. This often leads to remarkable results.
- Arthritis, etc: Arthritis of the hands. This is a special exercise routine for arthritis of the hands, an ailment that affects me personally. These exercises really help especially when your fingers are stiff and painful.
