Virtual Vivid presents The Duke Ellington Pieces
The June 26th, 2022 performance is available as a download for you to view at your own convenience. This 33 minute long dance documentary features the music of the wonderful Duke Ellington Orchestra with 3 dance choreographies created and performed by Vanessa Kettler. The history of jazz in Greenwich Village in the 1950s is presented along with details about the amazing Harlem Renaissance of the 1920-30s and the spectacular Cotton Club. Ray Hoey once again provides excellent perspective. It costs $10 to receive a download of this special event. Once downloaded, it is yours to keep as long as you like.
